A member of the Can:Do Group

Since its inception in 1891, The Royal South Australian Deaf Society - now under the name of Deaf Can:Do - has been providing a range of services to the South Australian adult Deaf and hard of hearing community. Deaf Can:Do is pivotal to the 800 strong South Australian Deaf Community, other deaf South Australians and a large number of hard of hearing South Australians.  A smaller number of people who are Deafblind are also supported as we provide the only qualified Deafblind interpreting service in South Australia.

Through Community Services we provide information, counselling, additional needs support, aged care support and assist clients access a range of external community agencies and organisations for further services. We also provide training courses for Australian Sign Language (Auslan) and we have highly qualified professional staff who provide Auslan interpreting.
