120 Year Anniversary

In 2011 Deaf Can:Do is celebrating 120 Years of service to the deaf and hard of hearing community by the Royal South Australian Deaf Society!

In February, a special morning tea was held to kick off celebrations of this milestone. Members of the Deaf Community, supporters and staff were invited to the morning tea, which was attended by our Patron His Excellency Rear Admiral Kiven Scarce, Governor of South Australia and his wife Mrs Liz Scarce. It was a delightful morning which started celebrations off on a very high note!

A number of events have been pencilled into our calendar including a dinner, barbeque and photo of the Deaf Community in the same style as the old one in the Deaf Society’s foyer. And don’t forget the Adelaide Deaf Community Church will be holding a special 120 Year Service of Worship on 22 May at 10am.

We look forward for an exciting year of celebrations ahead!
